Lenses into the 9-11-08 Mars/Venus Conjunction"

This article seeks to expose this month’s Mars Venus conjunction from no less than four lenses, or facets, or perceptual sandboxes. Why such effort over such a short and fleeting event? Because it is becoming increasingly important to dig deep for what can serve us and our clients both now and into the future. Astrology is changing. Ancient techniques, modern psychology, postmodern and post-postmodern ideas, even advanced computing are crashing into one another now, causing ideological froth to spray into the minds of even some of the most set-in-their-ways astrofolk.
Venus catches up to Mars exactly at 9:56:38p EDT (+4:00) on September 11. The meeting happens at tropical 15° Libra 16’. This event will need to be sharpie’d into the calendar for any bona fide alchemist, conflict resolver, gender-issue sociologist or therapist, tantrika, and teacher/student of the sacred feminine and masculine. Because in this meeting will be relived the fundamental principles in all creation returning for another “It’s so good to see you again, beloved!” (re)union. Those principles, of course, are the masculine and feminine, the yang and the yin, those invisible, ubiquitous forces anthropomorphized as Lord Shiva and his Beloved Parvati. Keep in mind we’re not speaking of gender here, nor or we implying anything indicative of men and women. We’re pointing out that the core drives responsible for your life and all Life are symbolized by Mars and Venus.(1)
