Before diving into March’s outlook, a short word of explanation
about the terms “feminine” and “masculine.” These terms refer to
the implicit, underlying principles within all creation, rather than to
gender. We can see these principles in everything our minds can
focus on: people in our lives, weather patterns, market trends,
psychological traits, relationship habits, and more. Everything in
creation is composed of the Primal Pair of Femininity and Masculinity
formed together in unique ways. Again, gender is not implied when
you see these words used. With that, welcome to…
The Mars Journey
OUR SACRED MASCULINE through June & July 2008
Through the entire summer, Mars, “the Direct One,” gains speed along his orbital path. This speeding up is just what Mars is made for: mobility. He loves to move and stay in motion. What does it
mean for us on Earth when one of our planetary neighbors gains velocity?
In last month’s Astronomy for Lightworkers Workshop – a heart-
based, experiential program offering a cellular education of our
home planet, solar system and galaxy – we explored several key
principles and observable phenomena in our physical universe (see
Soulsign.com/downloads). One of which was the principle of ‘speed’
or physical velocity as it relates to human consciousness.
What does the principle of speed actually symbolize in how
consciousness is perpetually evolving? A speeding object moving
through space can be understood as the kinetic expression in the
material universe for the vast, raw potential for consciousness itself
to wake up to itself to a greater degree. So the more or faster
something is moving, the greater possibility there is for true change
in consciousness. While it is true that lots of ‘doing’ doesn’t always
bring lots of genuine results, it is equally true that a legitimate
growth in consciousness (rather than the same consciousness simply
expressing in different forms) will always require quite a lot of effort
(on the inner planes, outer planes or both). And this we term
“spiritual practice,” or the observably new types of choices we make
which emanate out of deeper contact with our spiritual truth. In the
Soulsign therapeutic work, we can identify this behavior in any
number of ways, from new relationship choices, to the exacerbation
or diminishment of physiologic health, to a new teacher or discovery
of resonant knowledge, to many, many other forms one’s
consciousness evolution may take. For example, when an
individual’s physiology changes as a result of an awakening process
(which will always include a healing component within it), we term
this innate way of moving our “Soulmatic
intelligence.” Once again,
the presence of new movement and its
relative rate of speed through
a person’s life will always reveal that
something unmanifest is looking
to
be born, ignited, started.
In context of our collective Masculine unfolding through June and
July, Mars will be moving (us) through the Service Phase of his
Journey. The Service Phase is a long Phase (4 months) in which our
collective Masculine development ‘hits the street’ with respect to
significantly improving things, benefiting others, and to forwarding
any personal or social efforts
aimed at improvement of the collective
condition. On a personal note
for each of us, Mars’ Service Phase is
the time to release personal
needs and wants if they are intruding on
our meaningful social
contribution. It’s a time when we learn how
service-capable and
willing we actually are to devote more of
ourselves to a better We
and a better world.
The last issue of the Soul’s Desire (Vol-II #5, April/May 2008)
described our initial entry into the Service Phase. But now in June
and through the first week of August, the stakes are raised, and
they are not the type of choices that others have a say in. They may
not even be the type that your baseline consciousness has either!
Instead, these choices or ‘stakes’ are ones only YOU can plant in
the ground of your Deep Masculine: how ready are you to embrace
your authentic Masculine nature so that the world can benefit from
its (your) skillful gifts, wise counsel and refined movement?
Your focus should now be on maximally manifesting, developing and
especially applying what you have been preparing for since December 2006 (whether aware of it or not), when the current Mars Journey
began which this Service Phase is in service to. What are you now
ready to move towards which you might not have been since then?
How does it now feel to devote yourself to something more than your
personal needs? Are you now ready to release what’s in the way? Are
you now available to actualize what you brought yourself
here for?
Mars & the Stars in the Visual Sky
In June Mars will be transitioning from the stars of the Crab toward
those of the Lion, an archetypal shift from foundation and
preparation to action and success. In July we will see two powerful
alignments. The first is when Mars crosses the home of Regulus the
heart star of the Lion and one of the four Persian Royal Stars
marking the cardinal directions.
Mars’ very close passing in front of Regulus as he approaches the
height of the Service Phase will manifest one of two themes in each
situation in which it holds meaning for you. The combined effect of Mars’
nature as action and effort in general, the current increase in
Mars’
orbital velocity (see above), and Regulus’ ancient symbolism as
‘royal success’ may bode extremely well for our efforts to succeed if
we are prepared to go the extra mile in our efforts. It is as if we are
our own personal hero striving for greatness – not in name but in
beneficial effect overall (the developmental aim of the Service
Phase).
The other theme which may manifest itself now is that of self-defeat,
in the specific form of revenge or ‘evening the score.’[1] And if this
does appear for you, it is important you do not deny the fact, but
rather devote yourself to sufficiently feeling the feelings of wanting to 'get back at ____' to find their origin: where in you is there the belief
that
the wrongs done to you are emanating anywhere but from your
own
self? After all, revenge always emanates from a subconscious
assumption of ownership or entitlement. Its source is always a
constricted, fearful view. The Other's action against you is a reflection
of a facet of
self looking for return to the Heart.” So to avenge a
‘wrong’ is to
invest your precious energy into the ‘me/not-me’
paradigm, only
re-entrenching it in you sacred heart space.
In general, Mars & Regulus is a tremendous opportunity to
accomplish things, to feel the sweetness of success by one’s own
effort, and to radiate courageous self-love out into the world.
OUR SACRED FEMININE through June & July 2008
The Venus Journey
As presaged in the April/May issue, we now enter the darkest time
of the Venus Journey, Venus’ meetup with the Sun, marking the
point of greatest darkness in our collective Feminine psyche. Just
like the Mars Journey’s point of greatest lightness, here this Great
Darkness is also the moment of greatest Feminine power. Why is
this? It is because true power can only arise from alignment with
source, conscious embodiment and free will choice. Remove, subvert
or warp any of these variables and your maximum power is left
wanting.
Already invisible for over a month now, Venus has been darkening
into Herself, downward, ever since Her disappearance on around May 3. She (read: we) has been risking
deeper loss with every passing day. It’s a path un-tread by most as
the dark quickly engulfs the normal sense of oneself not because
there is evil in the world, but rather to strip one of the safety net of
the egoically familiar. For is familiarity and comfort not THE main blockage to
authentic growth and true happiness? Does not your authentic joy
arise from conscious knowledge of yourself as open awareness, and
never from emotional fulfillment, physical pleasure or mental
stimulation (though each can certainly provide temporary or daily
happiness and contentment)?
June 8 is the day for Venus’ exact conjunction to the Sun. This
conjunction, known as the superior or exterior conjunction, also
marks Venus’ highest orbital velocity. Please see the Masculine
portion of this issue (above) for the symbolism of physical speed
from the view of developing consciousness. These phenomena
combine to inform us that this is the maximum access point to raw
Feminine power: power that perpetually generates massive amounts
of energy into and for our collective consciousness to evolve:
“Venus ‘goes down’ in order to regain/re-contact/re-associate with the singular source of Feminine power, an abyss place. This abyss is featureless and unimpeded by subjectifying references. It is an ocean without end. But in order to reach it, she must necessarily release all self-identifying features that identify/singularize/separate her from the space she exists within. And when she does reach the [Underworld], she is killed. In other words, her regeneration and ultimate sacrifice is [achieved] not from her accomplishments per se, but from the primal laws of nature that subject all life to live and die in cycles of changing patterns. This path is the experience she must have to re-contact that which sources her, to play her part in the ongoing re-vivifying and re-empowerment of the inexhaustible, timeless Feminine.” (Bridges of Union, Adam Gainsburg, to be released in 2009 by Soulsign Publishing)
This unavoidable initiatory journey into our personal power has sadly
become long forgotten by women and men on a mass scale. As a
result, death has come to terrify and dominate our darkened places
inside. In fact, one way to understand the sickness at the root of
current culture is that it provides no culturally-recognized means for
‘slipping down in’, ‘entering the ashes’, ‘making oneself low’ or
‘dying before you die.’ These and other phrases from numerous
world traditions all point to an initiatory process: the universal
human experience of entering a different world, one of un-illumined
activity, terrible extremes, and a thorough loss of familiar self-
images and securities. Perhaps you can now begin to feel the reason
for the ancient term “under-world”; not as a fabled place in a
mythological land but one viscerally real, so real in fact that most
are forced to hide it away underneath thin persona and fearful
egotism as they (we) have not yet accumulated personal power sufficient
to ‘meet’ them (our) selves in their (our) own darkened place. (See above for a
description of power).
The last issue of the Soul’s Desire described the archetypal feminine
as “the space found within any container. It is the [implicit] vastness
of interiority. Modern science has a name for this: the quantum
realm….It is important not to confuse interior spaciousness with [the
content populating that inner space].” (Soul’s Desire, Vol.II-5)
Until July 11 (depending on your local skies), our collective
Feminine unfolding is occurring in this dark place. What and how we
populate our inner place with is of course our choice. With the
conjunction occurring in the middle of tropical Gemini, the focus will
collectively revolve around how we use our minds to form reality. It
will deal with the substrate of duality itself in the human psyche: the
de facto impulse to take a position (any position) and thus dualize
one’s awareness from that one lens. Further, this zodiacal location
exposes us to any and all ways we deny participation in every facet
of our lives: from how we judge ourselves, to how we relate with
money, to why we feel something or someone to be safe or unsafe,
to our readiness to forgive and release blame, to the level of
responsibility we take for our every thought, word and deed.
This conjunction at 18 Gemini tells us that the Great Leo Goddess is
‘brought low’ into the Gemini Underworld, a place uniquely ‘chosen’
to house Her radical loss and re-contact to Her power.
How does Gemini serve as an Underworld for Leo Femininity? By
showing her what is and is not real about her creations. By clarifying
her own neediness of affection or approval. By examining the criteria
on which she chooses to do or not do something. By comparing the
past results of her efforts to her original, authentic desire. And in a
sense by stripping her of the sensual excitement of her own inspired
creations, leaving her in arid accumulating and comparing of
sensual-less information.
And how do the Gemini mysteries re-empower Leo Femininity as a
result? By introducing Her to the vastness of the non-dual. In Leo
terms, ask any Leo if they would like to live the rest of their lives
free from the need to be loved so that they can finally rest in self-
love and you will hear a resounding YES.

to our own self-love through June and all of July.

you” so be inspired instead to make your loving effort “All About

Wed, June 18 – “Galactic Full Moon” – This celestial line-up is not to
be missed! This Full Moon will be exactly marking Galactic Center
with Pluto on the lunar side and Venus close to the solar side, thus
including our galactic core into this Full Moon energy mix. Meditate,
dance, sing, invoke, or pray not only to our beloved Earth, Moon and
Sun but also to the source of our source. Whatever your choice
becomes, make sure to consciously align and engage your full being
with the tremendous awakening and growth potential of this special
“Galactic” Full Moon.
Wed, June 18 – Venus’ Transmutation Point (continued from June
10) asks once again: during this heightened window for
transformation, what are you ready to surrender which you now know is false or unnecessary?
Thurs, June 19 – (becomes exact: June 30) – Dark fun or
powerfully deep time? It’s up to you. This cuspy Grand Trine may
show you, after the dust settles, just exactly how ready you are to
live life from your inner fire of devotion. Will passion stand in the
way or enhance it? Will anger fuel new solutions or old resentments?

that is! The question, dear Gridbuilder is this: ‘To act or to be, to
‘me’ or to ‘we’? And of course your soul knows the answer to both

Mon, June 30 – End the month with some fire…the fire of your
passionate action! A good day to yell, to express your anger
healthily, to literally dismantle your fear with audacious courage,
and to go for what feels to be the juiciest choice. (Leo Mars trine

Tues, July 8 – Fri, July 11 – Feeling a little rebellious or fearful of
stepping out? Don’t feel equipped to be the man (or inner male)
that you’d like to be? Don’t believe it! You ARE all that…and more.
Direct the drive of yours toward your sweetie, or into an adventure
of fun with an unknown outcome. And don’t be surprised if later you
hear back that your bold move inspired others to do the same in

Sat, July 12 – Lady Venus exits the Transmutational Underworld
Phase, re-entering our collective awareness, by re-appearing low
over the western horizon just after sunset. So begins the newly
formed Queen of Heaven & Earth (the Divine & Deep Feminine). All
Hail the Queen!
Tues, July 15 – The newly arisen Queen Goddess makes her first
meeting with a waxing Moon to signal the beginning of the Queen’s
Ascent Phase, during which we re-imbue ourselves with our
Wholeness step by step by step over the next 7 months.
